C29 Metals engages with Regional Government in Kazakhstan to advance Ulytau uranium project

C29 Metals Limited has successfully conducted positive meetings with key representatives from the Regional Government in southern Kazakhstan, focusing on its flagship Ulytau uranium project. These discussions were pivotal in reinforcing the company’s commitment to the region and its communities, while also securing governmental support for exploration activities.

  • Assured Government support: The Regional and District Governments expressed their commitment to the Ulytau Uranium Project, acknowledging its potential to boost local economic development.
  • Local community commitment: C29 reaffirmed its dedication to local employment for the village of Aksuyek, near the Ulytau Project, under a previously established social support agreement.

Shannon Green remarked, “It was a fantastic opportunity to meet the Regional Governments and provide them with updates on our activities and future plans. Building meaningful relationships with all key stakeholders—including government, regulators, and local communities—is essential for our success.”

Ulytau project overview: The Ulytau Uranium Project is situated in the Almaty Region of southern Kazakhstan, approximately 15 km southwest of the Bota-Burum uranium mine, one of the largest deposits from the Soviet era.

Community engagement efforts: C29 Metals has held two community consultation days in Aksuyek, where local residents demonstrated strong support for the company’s exploration plans. The village will serve as an operational base, offering essential services to exploration teams and management.
